Privacy Policy
We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we process, why, and what your rights are — under the GDPR, with a note for California residents (CCPA).
Our principle: data minimization
BloodAnalysis is a free information site with no sign-up and no user account. We apply the principle of data minimization: we collect only what is strictly necessary, we explain every analytics and advertising cookie the site uses, and we never sell your data for money.
Data controller
The data controller is Smart Medical Care SAS (Nice, France). For any question about your data: Directeur de la rédaction, contact@blood-analysis.com.
The data we process
Audience measurement (Google Analytics)
To understand which pages are useful to our visitors, we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google. It measures the pages viewed, where the visit came from, the device type, the country and the browser language. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics sets no cookie until you give your consent; without consent, Google may receive cookieless signals that cannot recognize you from one visit to the next. Elsewhere, including the United States, Google Analytics cookies may be set when you visit. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
This site may display ads provided by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners, which are third parties, may place and read cookies in your browser and use web beacons, your IP address and identifiers to serve these ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and prevent fraud. They may also show you personalized ads based on your visits to this site and other sites; in Europe they do so only with your consent. Google’s rules prohibit personalizing ads based on sensitive categories such as health.
To learn how Google uses this information: How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off personalized ads at any time in Google’s My Ad Center.
Technical connection data
Like any website, our host may log technical data (IP address, date and type of request) for the security and proper operation of the service. These logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Emails you send us
If you email us at contact@blood-analysis.com, we process your email address and the content of your message solely to reply to you. Please do not send us health data or sensitive information by email: we are not able to provide personalized medical advice.
Purposes and legal bases
- Audience measurement — improving the site. Legal basis in Europe: your consent.
- Advertising — funding the site through Google AdSense ads. Legal basis in Europe: your consent. Some partners rely on their legitimate interest, which you can object to from the consent message.
- Security and operation — technical logs. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Replying to your messages — handling requests received by email. Legal basis: legitimate interest / your request.
Cookies
On your first visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message run by Google’s consent platform, which follows the IAB TCF framework, lets you accept, refuse, or choose purpose by purpose. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and no analytics or advertising cookie is set before you choose.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is kept for up to 13 months, after which the message is shown again.
| Cookies | Service | Purpose | Maximum duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Audience measurement | 13 months |
FCCDCF, FCNEC | Google (CMP) | Storing your consent choice | 13 months |
__gads, __gpi, __eoi | Google AdSense | Serving ads, limiting repetition and measurement | 13 months |
Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work do not require consent. Outside Europe, including the United States, the cookies above may be set without a prior message; you can always block or delete them in your browser settings.
Recipients and processors
Your data is never sold or transferred for value. It may be processed by our technical providers acting as processors: our host (see the legal notice) and Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) for audience measurement and advertising, as well as the advertising partners listed in the consent message, strictly for the purposes described above.
Data hosting & international transfers
Our site runs on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, and the servers in use are located in the United States. Technical data handled by the host (for example connection logs) may therefore be processed in the U.S. For our EU users, this transfer is framed by Google's adherence to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and offers the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. The same safeguards cover the data processed by Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which may also be transferred to the United States.
Retention periods
- Audience statistics: kept for no more than 14 months in Google Analytics.
- Cookies: no more than 13 months from when they are set.
- Technical logs: kept for a limited period for security purposes.
- Emails: kept for as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted or archived where a legal obligation requires it.
Your rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your data, as well as a right to data portability where it applies. To exercise these rights, email contact@blood-analysis.com. We may ask you to verify your identity to prevent fraudulent requests.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL — cnil.fr/en.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. However, the advertising cookies used by Google AdSense may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. If you live in a state with such a law, you can opt out with the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link that Google displays on this site. You can also turn off personalized ads in Google’s My Ad Center or block third-party cookies in your browser. To make a request or ask a question, email contact@blood-analysis.com; we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
